SUN SENSE FACE TINT IN SPF 50
What it is | It is a tinted sunscreen, with UVA and UVB protection, it's moisturizing and it acts as an oil free base.
Why I picked it up | It was made and tested in Australia, I've never tried an Australian product before so I thought I'd give it a try. Plus, at that point in time I was so desperate for a sunblock and I didn't do much researching online before I picked it up so I just picked it up without much thought. On the packaging it says that it is moisturizing, it has both UVA and UVB protection and on top of that it says that it has SPF 50; I liked everything that was written on the packaging and it sounded very promising. The price was slightly higher than most Nivea products, so somehow the price made me feel a bit more confident that it would be good for me.
Pros | It swatches beautifully and if you manage to completely blend it into your skin it does have a nice satiny finish. Although coverage is not my main concern, I did notice that the product has a fair amount of coverage, so that's great!
Cons | However, I really did not like using this product. Even though you can see from the tube, I've used it up completely, but I actually used it because I was so desperate for a sunblock and I thought of giving it second chances. I just wanted to see if I could make it work in a different way. Also I didn't want to waste my money. After the umpteenth attempts to like this products... I still can't find a way to work with this product, it's so patchy. I tried everything, I tried mixing it with my moisturizer, but the product is simply too thick and patchy that it's so hard to blend. Even though the color is beautiful, it also leaves a white cast. The packaging says that it will be moisturizing but, it's actually very drying on the skin and has an uncomfortable tacky feeling. If you have tried this sunblock or any sunblocks from this range, do let me know if it worked for you and which other products in this range that I could try because this one definitely did not work for me.
What it is | It says that it is a face base double function on the packaging, so my guess is that it can be used as a foundation and a powder. It may be good as a foundation I'm not sure, I've never tried using it as a foundation before because powder foundations do not work well for my combination to dry skin.
Why I picked it up | I went to The Body Shop to find a lightweight face powder to set my makeup and I asked the sales assistant to recommend me a good face powder solely for that purpose. The sales assistant/makeup artist suggested this to me!
Cons | This product is far from being a light weight powder, it is very cakey and drying. I use it to set my concealing and the result is very disappointing because it does not look natural at all, you can actually see the powders that were deposited on my skin and it just sits on my skin and I can't blend it. I tried using a fluffy brush so that the brush picks up less of the powder to get a more natural look, but no matter what I do, I still can't get the right amount of product so that it doesn't just stick and sit on my skin and looks like I have a ton of powder on my face. As a result, I've decided that it must be the texture of the powder and it has nothing to do with how I apply it.
THE BODY SHOP -LIP GLOSS (CLEAR)
Why I picked it up | I just wanted to pick up a clear gloss for a natural look. Yes I'm a big fan of the natural look if you can't already tell. When I saw this container with a clear liquid inside and I read the description, then I swatched it and this beautiful clear liquid came out, I was over the moon, especially because it was very affordable.
Pros | It swatches beautifully. It smells great, it has a fruity scent.
Cons | Let's get down to business, I did not like using this product because it's gloopy and sticky. The applicator deposits too much product every single time. So you might like how it looks, just like I did, but I really did not like how it feels on my lips. Personally, I feel that regardless of how good the product might look, but if it does not feel comfortable, then it compromises the total value of my experience with that product. So suffice to say I was very disappointed with how this product feels and works on me and I have not been using it all that much.
NYX BUTTER GLOSS IN MAPLE BLONDIE
What it is | It is supposed to be a pigmented lip gloss, it's called butter lip gloss, because the idea behind it is that it's suppose to just glide so smoothly on your lips and give you a lot of pigmentation but with a gloss finish. Products similar to this would be like the L'oreal Caress Wet Shine Stain. Of course the NYX Butter Gloss was released quite a while ago and was released before the L'oreal CWSS.
Why I picked it up | Well, you guys already know why I picked this up. This product right here is a cult favorite which is why it's very shocking to me why it ended up on this list.
Pros | Swatches beautifully. Beautiful color and amazing pigmentation, although this particular color does not really suit my skin tone, I can imagine it will look really good on people with cool skin tone. If you do spend some time with the product and layer it, the end result looks really good. I absolutely love the scent, it smells like cupcake batter, absolutely lovely!
Cons | It does not glide on my lips at all, in fact it is a bit too sticky and it can be a bit streaky (you can clearly see that in the picture when I was putting on the first layer on my top lip that it can get quite streaky and gloopy), therefore it's hard for me to get a smooth application the first time I apply it. I have to really use the applicator to move the product around so that I get a smooth application. This is a huge drawback for me because I expected that this product would be as smooth as the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream and because I'm constantly on-the-go so I don't have time in the mornings to spend on layering the product to get a smooth application. However, I have read online that some colors in this range are not as pigmented and not as smooth as others. So I guess, I will still give this product a chance and I will try some other darker colors in this range to see if it would fare better. I will also keep trying to find ways to work with this product.
BOURJOIS KHOL AND CONTOUR
I have done a review on this product, I will link the review for that here. (link)That's all for this week, I hope that this was helpful. Let me know in the comment section below if you've tried the products that I've talked about in this post above and what did you like and dislike about the products.
That's a shame about the eyeliner! because I have the Bourjois Contour Clubbing Waterproof Eyeliner (which in two different colours), they they have good pigmentation and staying power - like a dupe for the Urban Decay 24/7 liner.

Ouh I wish I could get a hold on that then! I might have to hunt it down though because I don't think they have that in the bourjois outlets here in Malaysia! :) Time to search for it online sounds like an awesome product. :) Thanks Anjna!
